← How Insurance Claims Work · Lesson 2 of 3
Life claims for the family
This lesson is not yet available in that language; showing English for now.
If a policyholder passes away, the nominee informs the insurer and submits:
- Claim form and original policy (or a copy if lost)
- Death certificate
- Nominee's ID, address proof and bank details
- Medical records or police report, depending on the case
The insurer may ask for more documents. Keep calm, keep copies, and ask for help; you do not have to do it alone.
